Though Nepal declared itself a secular state in 2015, laws adopted this year make conversion from Hinduism to any other religion illegal. A new mechanism was also announced to “keep an eye on foreign nationals involved in illegal religious publicity and conversions.” Praise God that so far no expatriate Christian worker has been expelled as a result of these new laws. Praise God that Nepali Christians continue to work boldly for the extension of God’s Kingdom. Pray for their protection (The Bible, Psalm 34:7).

Pray for UAE - facebook page

The United Arab Emirates issued Decree Law which may have a significant effect on the capital markets and state of the public finances in the UAE. The Law permits the federal government of the UAE to issue sovereign debt for the first time through the sale of bonds or other debt instruments. Government sources have pointed out the potential of the law to support the establishment of a primary and secondary market and provide a means for long-term bonds to be issued to contribute to alternative sources of funding for federal government projects and federal level guarantees. Pray that the new law will lead the country to increased generosity. Pray that the trades will be useful for enforcing the government projects (The Bible, Proverbs 22:9).
